Jim Wyatt is an American writer living in Warsaw, Poland. His short stories appear in a number of journals, including River Styx, Cimarron Review, News from the Republic of Letters and The Greensboro Review. He received an MFA in creative writing from the University of New Orleans, and he has won the Robert Watson Literary Prize and the Barry Hannah Fiction Prize.

Jim moved abroad in 1991and has lived in Wroclaw, Poland and in Istanbul, Turkey. He now lives with his wife and their two children in Warsaw, where he teaches English literature and Theory of Knowledge at the American School of Warsaw. He is currently at work on a novel examining Poland's communist ghosts.
